LaundryDay 1.1 Coming Soon!

LaundryDay 1.0 was just released a few days ago and the reviews are beginning to trickle into the Marketplace. While not as favorable as we’d like, there does seem to be a pent-up desire for a laundry app. One of the more curious comments is about the app losing the time on the machines after navigating away from the app and returning. That’s no good, and something we’ve never experienced on our development device — a T-Mobile HD7. We’re going to investigate the situation and see if we can’t resolve it in an update. If you are having this problem, please let us know which device you’re running it on. Because of the tight requirments on what becomes a WP7 device, this completely took us by surprise.

In addition to the lost machine times, a couple of users have commented on the fact that the current release doesn’t allow you to delete reminders. You can reset a machine, but the reminder will still go off at the schedule time in addition to the new time set for the machine. We didn’t initially plan for a cancellation feature — or rather, we planned to add the feature to an ad-free version of the app, due in the first quarter of 2012. At this point, we may need to add it to the free version of the app too, but this ability may not make it to version 1.1.

We hope to make the update available by the end of January.

Thanks for giving LaundryDay a try, and we hope you’re finding it useful!

LaundryDay Arrives!

It’s been a long time coming, but the first release from ennuiWare is finally here! LaundryDay is an easy-to-use laundry timer that, with a few quick taps, allows you to set a reminder so you don’t forget to go pick up your laundry.

How does LaundryDay differ from a more general purpose timer app? Well, first, it’s been designed to be quick and easy to use. No keyboard to mess with, no options to navigate, you just tap on what you want and set it. The app can independently track up to four washing machines and four dryers at a time.

Once you’ve set your timers, navigate away from the app and go about your business. Returning to the app or relaunching it picks up with the time remaining as if it had been running the entire time.

If you like the app, please let others know by rating it in the marketplace. If it doesn’t work for you, we’d like to know what we can do to make it better.

LaundryDay is a full-function ad-supported app. In the near future, we’ll be offering a plus version that removes the ads and provides a couple extra features without sacrificing ease of use. Stay tuned for more info.

Thanks for giving ennuiWare your time. Happy laundry (:
